About

Eden Shadow was founded in 2011 by Ryan Elliott as the project title for his progressive solo works. With help from producer Gerwyn Howley, Ryan recorded and arranged his written work in no other facilities but his high school in Wales. Using such an extraordinary environment to develop a project so big, Ryan soon received regional press from The South Wales Echo where he received contact from Will Mackie who agreed to sign him to his and Rob Reed’s (Magenta) new label WhiteKnightRecords.

From there the name Eden Shadow was founded and “Phases” saw huge developments with not only input and advice from both Will and Rob but also Antony Kalugin of SunChild, Novelist, Artist and former rapper, Terry Cooper and former Gary Moore, Uriah Heap and Lonestar singer, John Sloman. Ryan’s projects were soon becoming something more than a solo endeavour and started to look for a band.

When Ryan moved to Guildford to study at Academy of Contemporary Music, He met like-minded musicians bassist Alex Broben and drummer, Tom Burgess and together they formed the fixed line up for Eden Shadow.

The mini album “Hail” was released May 2012 and features Rob Reed as a guest on 2 of the four tracks. “Hail” also acts as precursor for the upcoming feature-length debut album “Phases” which will be featuring several guests including Nik Turner of Hawkwind.
